Mark arrived at our house in Rochester Mn tired, hungry and filthy. He was happy to have a showet and a place to do laundry. We fed him, he had a good night sleep and he was on his way the next morning. Really miss Mark's smile and infectious laugh.

I just attended our 40th high school reunion last weekend (10/12/19) and learned of Mark’s passing. I don’t want to believe or accept it. Shocked!! I was hoping to give him a hard time as if we never lost our hs sense of humor. Two attributes I associate the most with Mark - strength and charisma.

Put a Chicago team in the playoffs and Mark became a kid again. He may have voiced his dissatisfaction with pro sports and athletes; but, it only took a chance at a Chicago championship and he was glued to the TV and totally engaged. The Cubs took it all last October and I remember how happy he was.

This is my third attempt today, and I realized after seeing Marybeth today that I could write chapters about the arc of our lives together. And every time I try and put something down, I fail. He was just so special to me and my boys that words get jumbled and meaning drops off, and I have to stop.
